Welcome to Roma World!
Are you ready to live like an ancient Roman?
A new theme park is coming, next to Cinecittà World, Rome's cinema and TV amusement park: its name will be Roma World and it will bring guests back in time 2.000 years ago, giving them the opportunity to live a whole day surrounded by nature, in a real camp of the Roman legions.
In this park guests can feel the real contact with nature, they will live, dress, eat, shop, sleep and…fight as the ancient Romans used to do. They can become Gladiator for a day. They can enjoy shopping among stalls of the ancient market, gain a special relationship with the farm animals, admire the flight of the eagle and other spectacular birds of prey, run on the original Ben Hur Movie Chariots, immerse themselves into the cork forest and live unique experiences ... where it all began!
Roma World spans over 5 hectares of typical Roman countryside, among cork groves and pristine meadows. We enter from the large portal of the Camp (Castrum). After the gate we walk into the woods, two rows of trees, until the village appears in front of us. In the middle of it stands the rustic Gladiators Arena, a place where you can watch challenges or learn combat techniques by wielding a sword (Gladio) led by professional instructors.
On our left we face the Taberna, park's restaurant, where you can taste real ancient Roman food: meat, vegetables, soups, break…cooked as it used to be. On the right the night Camp, where outdoor lovers can sleep in tents equal to the one used by real legionaries. Even shopping brings us back in time: in the small outdoor market, you can discover objects and techniques of the past.
While entering the village, the animals’ sounds come from the nearby Farm, here we find: goats, sheep and dwarf cows, cute pigs, noisy geese, turkeys, ducks, roosters, hens, delicate rabbits, donkeys and ponies, available to take children around the village. Educational workshops and feeding sessions will teach us how to take care of them.
At the end of the village stands Birds of Prey Arena that includes both shows and interactive sessions. We will admire and interact with some of the most spectacular animal species: from the flight of the eagle to the falcon attacks, from the hypnotic gaze of the owl to the singularity of the barn owl. Guests can try themselves in the Wild Walk Experience, where they will fly these animals into the woods.
Kids are the star at Roma World Park: in addition to Pony riding, they can try archery shooting, adventure courses in the small cork forest and outdoor games of the past, led by and surveilled by the village entertainers.
Nature lovers will appreciate the biodiversity of the Roman countryside in the walking Botanical Tour led by a local biologist, who will guide them to discover the park's grove.
Cinema fans will love to visit the spectacular Set of the Colossal Movie “Ben Hur”. From 1959 blockbuster film –awarded with 11 Oscar- to the 2016 remake version, the Chariot Race stands as one of the most legendary scenes in the whole history of cinema. After visiting the Set we will be able to jump on a chariot and experience the real thrill of running in the spectacular Arena, pulled by powerful horses.
In a village, like Roma World, everything is shared. Guests can choose their level of involvement: the simple entrance ticket (€15), which includes all activities and shows; or the entrance + ancient food ticket (€29), allows to eat any food available (All you can eat) including the evening dinner.
For those who want to live the deepest experience Roma World offers the possibility to sleep in the camp: the €49 Full package includes the overnight stay in a tent, for 2 up to 4 people, all-you-can-eat food including dinner and breakfast the next day.
Roma World is located in Rome, Via di Castel Romano 200, 20 minutes from the city, and is connected from Metro B Station Eur Palasport with a daily shuttle bus.
